Enzo Boaglio, Production Manager and a “cold chain expert” with over 25 years of experience. “I’m
Enzo Boaglio, and I’ve worked at MELFORM since 1995. During my time here, I
‘ve gained extensive experience in active refrigeration applied to
temperature-controlled transport. I further developed my technical skills by attending specialized courses at Centro Studi Galileo, a leading institution in the refrigeration sector.
Currently, I serve as the Production Manager at MELFORM, leading a highly
skilled technical team. Together, we are committed every day to improving the performance, reliability, and efficiency of our products, always prioritizing the quality and safety of transport.”

“The
KOALA line uses active compressor-based refrigeration systems, available in static or ventilated versions. These systems can be powered by both the main electrical grid and vehicle power outlets.
Furthermore, in recent years, we’ve developed new solutions with autonomous battery power – this is our KOALA GREEN line.
I want to emphasize that
our refrigeration units are designed in-house at MELFORM. This allows us to ensure effective cooling with homogeneous temperature distribution.”

“
Temperature stability is guaranteed by high-density expanded polyurethane thermal insulation, the container’s
hermetic seal, and
electronic control systems.
During summer or long transports, the combination of
passive insulation and
active refrigeration maintains the integrity of the cargo.”

“A truly safe container
guarantees adherence to the cold chain under all transport conditions. This is achieved through certifications (e.g., ATP), documented tests, temperature data recording, and robust, reliable materials that maintain consistent performance over time. MELFORM subjects every container to
rigorous internal tests according to recognized standards.
This allows us to guarantee cargo safety even during long transports or in challenging environments.”

“To answer that question, I have to mention our
KOALA GREEN line, which was specifically developed to
combine high performance with sustainability. By using high-efficiency compressors, high-quality lithium batteries, optimized electronic components, and advanced insulating materials, we
can reduce energy consumption by up to 30% compared to traditional solutions.”

“The
collaboration between Production and R&D is continuous and strategic. Every piece of feedback from the production floor is analyzed to identify
areas for improvement in terms of assembly, materials, and components. At the same time, R&D shares
prototypes with Production, and these are validated together. This cooperation allows us to
quickly implement tailored solutions for our clients while maintaining excellent quality standards for the KOALA line.”
